Individual Therapy

Interpersonal Therapy

Interpersonal therapy helps people address problems in relationships and teaches new interpersonal and communication skills to improve the quality of relationships.   • Therapist assesses the unique clinical and cultural characteristics of the clients and family and tailors the treatment accordingly.

  • Therapist discusses the modules with the clients, facilitates discussions of how this content applies to them and their family, and helps family members create a plan to put lessons learned into practice.

Individual sessions:

  • Focused on assessing adolescent functioning in key domains & engaging adolescents, using motivational interviewing (MI) techniques.

Family sessions:

  • Used to improve communication and functioning in families, to bring family members closer together, reduce conflict in the home, and help them address stressors they are facing in a better way.
